The beginning
"Okay tell me again why I should give this story a shot?. What makes it different?". The lazy smirk on the face of my manager told me this conversation was boring him. He wasn't really interested in publishing my story, he was only looking to discourage me from going on with it. I took a deep breath and began my tenth speech this week on why I should be given a chance. As all other times had turned out, he gave me that fake enthusiastic smile and went on to say "I know you're a smart girl Xera and I trust you understand when I tell you we don't have time for this. What do you think will happen if we gave every newbie a chance to be heard?, that doesn't make me very in charge does it?". That was my cue, my dismissal. I plastered a smile on my face and thanked my wonderful boss. Well you can go to hell Mr Zayn but one way or the other my voice will be heard.
